Our afternoon in Ravenna

Here we are outside of the Basilica di San Vitale. It is about .7km from our hotel. The interior is decorated with mosaics, which is what Ravenna is famous for. Well, also it is where Dante died 700 years ago last week. We went and saw his resting place.
Ok, do an internet search if you want a good picture, but this one has us!

And alter.
We went to a museum where they have a Christian burial marker from 200AD. So this was an early town to convert to Christianity.
Greg keeps eating pasta with seafood at nearly every meal. But it is so good here. I had rabbit for dinner. I've never seen it on a menu at home, so I thought I ought to try it.
We also saw a movie being filmed. We looked for Chris Evans... but I guess it wasn't his movie.
Got gelato!
Here is the link for our bike rides again
Tomorrow Faenza.

  1. Do you use a translator phone app for reading the menus are is it in English too? Les also eats pasta with seafood everywhere in Europe.

    1. Sometimes we use Google translate (did you know it has a camera option that translates whatever you point your camera at? I did not until a few days ago.) But a lot of the time it is also in English. And sometimes we let the waiter choose.
