Saturday, September 11th

We started the day with a tour of the Musei dell Accedemia. It was incredible. Full of amazing Renaissance art, mostly by Venetian artists. Lots of paintings of Mary and baby Jesus in St. Mark’s Square. 

Here we are crossing the grande canal to get to the museum about 9am.

Afterwards we walked a bit and got our first pizza in Italy. It was very good, a lot like a thin crust pizza at home. 1PM

It is noticeably more crowded today. But we've been to all our big sites now. We got them done before the weekend. Relaxing rest of the day and sunset gondola ride tonight. Happy Anniversary!
